Brahms was an early "early music" devotee; his organ music is especially evocative of the 17th and 18th centuries; this collection of his chorale preludes arranged for viol consorts (3 to 6 players), originally $32 (score & parts) temporarily available at $20 |

We are starting a new Web Site feature. It is experimental at the moment: we appreciate your constructive comments. Click on the 'play' buttons to hear short audio excerpts from some of our editions, played on electronic instruments. Because of space and copyright restrictions, only a part of a movement or piece can be played. First, chorale preludes from Ernst Pepping's "Seven Pieces" arranged for recorder quartet(CC004); then an Allemande from the new Hacquart guitar edition (B018); the third excerpt is part of Cranford's variations on "Walsingham" for viol quartet (VC033).
